Minerva Gwendolyn Shackbolt Welcome to my wicked world,
Cunning- A natural Slyhterin at heart, cunning was always one of her most defining traits. It helped her when she was little and a cute set of doe eyes and a plan was the best way to get a meal for the evening.
Creative- If it's something she can make, she's naturally good at it. Minnie especially tends to make her own clothing, enjoying creating her own unique fashion with bright bold colors.
Fearless- Most people in school were sure that she was unafraid of anything. She was one of the few students who could stand up to the headmistress without even looking afraid.
Kind- She'd never let people see it, but she's unwaveringly kind. Extra food, clothes or some of the smaller things she steals from shops tend to go to the poor on the streets.
Loyal- if someone trusts in here, there could be no one better who could keep your secrets. Ever in trouble? She's the first one to come and help out.
Troublemaker- If there's trouble to be had then you can be assured that Minnie is right in the middle of it. She almost thrives on the danger of it all, and if it manages to upset her adoptive mother, then all the better.
Petty Thief- She's gotten better at it since she was little, but if she seems something she like, there's been many a time that such a thing has found it's way into her pockets.
Body shame- Minerva hates her body. The scars that are over her torso and face are things she constantly tries to hide. She uses more than a little bit of makeup to hide the marks, and she's the last person you'll ever find wearing a bikini
Loner- Friends? Not so much. she has a few that she's truly close to, but they're mostly her siblings. Beyond that, she tends to stick to herself, sometimes out of necessity.
suspicious - if something looks too good to her, she often is sure that it is. Trouble has a hard time trusting the intentions of people. She's sure they always have some motive behind things.
PATRONUS MEMORY:The first time her father showed her the bedroom that he had decorated for her.
MIRROR OF ERISED:Trouble would see herself completely free of all her scars with both her birth mother and adoptive father.
BOGGART: The werewolf that attacked her as a child.
Trouble's life had never been easy. Born to Joanna Wallace, little Minerva was both a blessing and a curse to the young teen mom. As soon as her parents found out about the pregnancy, they kicked their daughter out of the house to fend for herself. The baby's father had little interest in helping and that left Joanna do all that she could on her own. For a time, the young woman thought about giving up her little Minnie, but when she first saw those beautiful green eyes and dark hair, there was no way that she could let her go.
Of course she also couldnt always provide. By the time that Minnie was five, she was already learning how to take things from the market without being noticed in order to feed herself. Half the time they were living between shelters and on the streets, but little Minerva didn't care. It was all she knew. According to the small girl, all she needed was her mum anyways.
But even that would be taken away from her. It was a full moon when her mother decided that camping out for a few days was better than going to another shelter after one threatened to take her daughter and place her into foster care. When she heard the unearthly howl, Joanna didn't worry, sure that the fire would scare off the wild beast. But it was only a beacon to the unnatural werewolf. Joanna had only had enough time to jump in front of her daughter. She died protecting her daughter. And once finished, it went after little Minnie. The beast clawed and tore into the small child. It was only by luck that she was saved by a group of wizards who had heard the howl and gone to make sure the wolf didn't get to close to the muggle town.
Minerva was healed at St. Mungos, but it was already too late, the curse had been passed on. It also seemed to awaken her magic as the first accident of incidental magic occurred as she made one of the bottles of medicines explode. It just so happened that the Minister of Magic at the time, Mr. Shackbolt had been outside and heard the ruckus. He asked about the child and heard her cruel fate. Feeling for the poor girl, he went home that night and managed to convince his wife that one more child couldn't hurt and this one really needed their love.
Two months later, Minerva walked into Shackbolt estate with wary eyes. Not once had she said a word since her attack, not even her name. No one has quite known it. Little one became the usual thing to call her while they waited for her to come out of her shell. Her new father was always trying and would make a game out of it, guessing different names that she could have. It was the first time she'd smiled. Eventually, he simply called her Trouble playfully and the name stuck, even after she finally revealed her true name.
Full moons were hard and terrifying times growing up and something that never got easier. At home, she was locked away in the basement and quickly brought back out. Once school started, arrangements were made. It was hard though and Trouble tended to keep to herself, not wanting to tell people about herself and bring their dislike. This fear turned to anger and really Trouble began to live up to her name.
Now an adult, she's a bit of the black sheep of the Shackbolt kids. While she loves her family, she tends to avoid them as well. No one needs to tell her that she's an embarrassment to the family anymore than she already knows after all.
